Cover the tea bags with boiling water. Let it steep for 3 minutes.
Remove the tea bags and throw the dates in the liquid tea. Let the tea cool with the dates in, so they become soft. It takes around 2 hours; you can also leave them overnight.
Add the spices.
Add the avocado, milk and blend.
Serve cold or warm. This chai spiced avocado smoothie can be stored for up to 2 days in the fridge.
Notes
If you use a chai tea bag instead of regular tea, skip the spices.
When using an already made spices mix like this homemade chai spices mix, use 2-3 teaspoons for this quantity (about 1/2 to 2/3 teaspoon per serving).
