Sakura latte recipe

How to make this delicate cherry blossoms steamer drink
Print Recipe
Prep Time:5 minutes

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sakura powder
  • ¼ cup hot water (50 ml.)
  • ¾ cup milk (around 180 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener of choice* (I like using erythriol or xylit)

Instructions

  • Prepare sakura powder as recommended by seller. Most sakura powders dissolve much better in a small amount of hot water.
If you are using unsweetened sakura powder, you may sweeten it to taste.
  • Pour together milk and sakura. Optionally serve with froth or whipped cream on top.

Notes

*Since sakura powder has a very gentle taste, I find it better to use a neutral tasting sweetener (like sugar or xylitol) and avoid sweeteners with taste (like honey or stevia).
