Print Recipe
Prep Time:10 minutes

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 5 small Strawberries (around 50 gr.)
  • 1 teaspoon Xylitol (around 1.5 Tbsp. simple syrup) Feel free to use regular sugar, erythritol or stevia drops
  • ½ cup Milk Use your preferred type
  • ¾ teaspoon Matcha powder
  • 3 Tbsp. Water
  • 4-6 Ice cubes optional

Instructions

  • Mash the strawberries (or dice them in small cubes) and sweeten. Let sit for a while, if using sweetener in powdered form (it usually takes less than 10 minutes to dissolve).
For a smooth consistency, blend the strawberries.
Smashing, muddling and sweetening strawberries so make strawberry latte
  • While the strawberries macerate, prepare the matcha.
I find it easier to avoid lumps when mixing first the powder with a small amount of water (around 1 Tbsp. from the 3 you will use).
Once I have a thick matcha concentrate, I add the rest of the water and whisk or shake it.

  • Assemble the drink following this order: strawberry- ice cubes (if you want layers) - milk - matcha

  • The estimated calories amount was calculated using xylitol
  • I like my drinks on the lesser sweet side: please adapt to your taste if you prefer it sweeter
